Quantity Surveyor - Bespoke Luxury Contractor

We're working with a bespoke, luxury contractor based in South Birmingham, known for delivering high-end residential and commercial projects to exceptional standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The Role:

You'll play a key role in the commercial management of live construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities include:

• 
  Allocating and tracking project costs
• 
  Managing valuations, cost control, and payment cycles
• 
  Preparing tender and contract documentation
• 
  Producing cost plans, schedules of works, and bills of quantities
• 
  Cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
• 
  Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and final accounts
• 
  Working closely with site and project managers to monitor progress and variations
• 
  Ensuring compliance with contract terms and supporting dispute resolution when necessary

Requirements:

• 
  Experience with a main contractor is essential
• 
  Proven background in managing costs on live projects
• 
  Familiarity with JCT and bespoke contract forms
• 
  Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 
  Experience in luxury residential or high-end commercial projects is preferred, but not essential
