Quantity Surveyor - Bespoke Luxury Contractor South Birmingham £55,000 - £65,000 Office / Site Based We're working with a bespoke, luxury contractor based in South Birmingham, known for delivering high-end residential and commercial projects to exceptional standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.<h3>The Role:</h3> You'll play a key role in the commercial management of live construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities include:<ul><li> Allocating and tracking project costs</li><li> Managing valuations, cost control, and payment cycles</li><li> Preparing tender and contract documentation</li><li> Producing cost plans, schedules of works, and bills of quantities</li><li> Cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle</li><li> Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and final accounts</li><li> Working closely with site and project managers to monitor progress and variations</li><li> Ensuring compliance with contract terms and supporting dispute resolution when necessary</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li> Experience with a main contractor is essential</li><li> Proven background in managing costs on live projects</li><li> Familiarity with JCT and bespoke contract forms</li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li> Experience in luxury residential or high-end commercial projects is preferred, but not essential</li></ul> This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and detail-driven QS looking to step into a role with autonomy, ownership, and the chance to work on high-spec, design-led projects.
