As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert cost estimation and commercial support on a variety of hotel development projects. They need a professional who can work confidently and efficiently across all phases of development, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Key Skills & Experience Needed:
- The ability to recall metre rates instantly, demonstrating a deep understanding of current market costs
- Proficiency in taking off quantities directly from detailed drawings accurately and efficiently
- Experience performing feasibility studies on new build hotel schemes, assessing costs and viability
- Skilled in preparing budgets for room refurbishments, with an understanding of costs per key for different hotel star ratings
- Ability to produce detailed cost breakdowns and manage budgets for various project scopes
- Strong knowledge of UK construction standards, cost data, and hotel industry benchmarks
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience within the hotel or hospitality sector, ideally with a track record of working on hotel developments
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS accreditation or degree in Quantity Surveying)
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Proficiency with estimation software and MS Office suite
