Accounts Assistant - Lettings
Location: Greenwich Peninsula, London
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (pro-rata for 3 days per week)
Contract: Part-time, 3 days per week, 6-month fixed-term contract

About the opportunity
A prominent property developer responsible for delivering Greenwich Peninsula-one of London's most ambitious regeneration projects-is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a part-time basis. This role offers a genuine entry point into lettings accounting for experienced administrators or an opportunity for those with lettings accounts experience to contribute to a major urban development.
The position sits within a collaborative finance function that manages accounting processes across multiple entities within the organisation. You'll work alongside a supportive team that values rigorous work whilst maintaining a welcoming and inclusive culture.

The role offers exposure to a high-volume lettings portfolio within a unique regeneration setting where 5,000 residents already call home, with 17,500+ homes under development. You'll gain valuable experience working with Qube SLM software and managing the full cycle of lettings accounting and administration.

Key responsibilities
- Registering new tenant deposits with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) and verifying certificates
- Raising ad-hoc charges in Qube SLM for services including MVHR, EPC, EICR and statements
- Assisting with tenancy renewals and administering associated lease charges
- Processing high-volume supplier invoices including ground rent, service charges and utilities
- Posting and reconciling daily rent receipts and managing fund movements
- Responding to landlord queries regarding statements, charges and account issues
- Administering tenancy terminations and raising check-out fee charges
- Managing rent arrears processes including issuing letters and following up with landlords
Requirements
- Experience in residential lettings accounting or lettings administration/coordinator roles
- Familiarity with lettings software, ideally Qube SLM or similar platforms
- Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy in financial tasks
- Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage workload independently
- Comfortable handling large volumes of data and working to deadlines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision once trained
