Customer Care Coordinator - Leading UK Housebuilder (Chelmsford, Essex)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's most respected and successful housebuilders as a Customer Care Coordinator within their busy Chelmsford-based division.

This is a fantastic chance to be part of a high-performing Customer Care team, supporting homeowners and ensuring exceptional after-sales service across the region.

The Role

As a Customer Care Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in managing customer enquiries, coordinating remedial works, and ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming customer calls and logging issues promptly and accurately

  • Coordinating sub-contractors and materials to ensure maintenance requests are completed

  • Liaising with internal departments including Customer Care, Buying, Sales, and Site Teams

  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate records of customer care cases

  • Checking and processing invoices for payment

  • Booking appointments for suppliers, contractors, and site teams to carry out works

  • Ensuring all remedial works are completed within agreed timescales

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment (within construction or housebuilding)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • A proactive attitude and confidence to work on your own initiative

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
