Interior Architect - Award-Winning Design Studio
Location: Richmond
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
An award-winning Interior Design and Architecture Studio is seeking an experienced Interior Architect to join their growing team working on prestigious national and international residential projects.
This is an opportunity to work with a fun, hardworking team on high-end schemes where you'll demonstrate strategic design thinking and deliver unique, inspiring spaces with a strong focus on interior architecture, spatial planning, and technical design excellence.
The Role:
You'll manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing the entire design process while attending site visits and working closely with clients to translate their vision into functional, beautiful spaces. This office and field-based role offers genuine variety and the chance to work on exceptional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing detailed architectural drawings, layouts and custom design features using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- Managing your own projects including client pitching, liaison and fit-out team coordination
- Developing design drawings into comprehensive work packages with detailed architectural and joinery specifications
- Attending site visits to oversee implementation and resolve issues while maintaining design intent
- Creating specification schedules for lighting, sanitaryware, finishes and joinery
- Presenting work to clients both digitally and physically
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in interior architecture with design-based degree or equivalent qualification
- Excellent technical knowledge with ability to develop detailed work packages
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, joinery, buildability and budget considerations
- Proven job running experience managing projects through all stages
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design development and technical ability
- Experience managing multiple projects with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Confident team player with positive disposition and genuine enthusiasm for design
