Lettings Associate - Key Responsibilities:

Leasing & Administration

• Conduct viewings and respond to lettings enquiries promptly
• Oversee referencing process and minimise delays
• Train and mentor junior team members on lettings procedures
• Achieve lettings targets and maximise occupancy rates
• Conduct competitor analysis and mystery shopping
• Update property listings on platforms (Rightmove, Zoopla, etc.)
• Process applications, background checks, and credit checks
• Manage deposit protection and check-in/check-out reports
• Collect rents and record transactions in property management system (Yardi)

Customer Service

• Provide exceptional service to residents, prospective tenants, and visitors
• Address resident issues within 24 hours
• Handle complex lettings queries escalated from junior staff
• Promote community atmosphere and participate in resident events
• Exceed customer service expectations

Property Upkeep

• Comply with fire safety and health & safety standards
• Conduct scheduled flat inspections
• Assist with reactive maintenance and defects management
• Monitor property cleanliness and appearance

Requirements:

• Experience in property lettings or related sector
• Strong sales skills and proven track record meeting targets
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills
• Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office, property management systems)
• Ability to work Saturdays and public holidays
• Desirable: ARLA qualification, Yardi knowledge, private residential sector experience
