Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager

Location: London
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (DOE)

About the Company

We are a growing UK-based project management and development consultancy delivering high-quality projects across the built environment. Acting for occupiers, developers and investors, we provide hands-on advisory and delivery support from early feasibility and planning through to construction and handover.

Our portfolio spans commercial, mixed-use, industrial, logistics and fit-out developments, delivered within a collaborative, professional consultancy environment.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager to support live construction and development projects across multiple sectors.

This role is ideal for an ambitious early-career project professional looking to develop within a consultancy setting, gain exposure to diverse schemes, and work closely with experienced senior leaders who will actively support your progression.

You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle - not just one phase - building practical experience and commercial awareness in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Support projects from inception through to completion

  • Assist with programme, cost, risk and change management

  • Coordinate consultants, designers and contractors

  • Attend and contribute to project and site meetings

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Support day-to-day client communications

  • Assist in preparing progress reports and presentations

  • Act as a key coordination point for project stakeholders

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare briefs, programmes, reports and risk registers

  • Track actions, milestones and deliverables

  • Support procurement and tender processes

Construction Phase Support

  • Monitor site progress, quality and programme

  • Assist with change control and variations

  • Support handover and project close-out

About You

Essential:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar

  • 1-4 years' experience in construction, property or project delivery

  • Understanding of construction stages and processes

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Desirable:

  • Consultancy or client-side experience

  • Exposure to commercial, industrial, logistics or fit-out projects

  • Working towards APM, RICS or PRINCE2

  • Experience with programmes, cost tracking or risk management

Personal Qualities

  • Ambitious and eager to learn

  • Proactive and detail-oriented

  • Professional and client-focused

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced consultancy environment

What We Offer

  • Clear progression pathway within project management

  • Direct mentorship from experienced senior professionals

  • Exposure to full lifecycle project delivery

  • Competitive salary (£30,000-£50,000 depending on experience)

  • A supportive and collaborative team culture

If you're looking to accelerate your career within a growing consultancy where you'll gain real responsibility and meaningful project exposure, we'd love to hear from you
