About the Company

My client is an established international residential property investment business with a growing UK presence. With a strong track record across major European cities, the organisation focuses on enhancing residential assets in densely populated urban areas and delivering high-quality housing that supports local communities.

Since launching in London my client has built a significant portfolio across social housing, HMOs, private rented stock and serviced accommodation. The London office operates with an entrepreneurial, high-performance culture and has ambitious expansion plans over the coming years.

The Role

My client is seeking an experienced Lettings Manager with a strong social housing background to take ownership of leasing activity across a Greater London portfolio.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and securing partnerships with local authorities and housing providers, driving occupancy levels and ensuring assets remain compliant, commercially viable and strategically positioned for growth.

This position requires full-time office attendance initially (with Mondays and Fridays mandatory) to support integration with the wider team and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the end-to-end lettings process from instruction through to tenancy commencement

  • Identifying and securing new council and operator partnerships

  • Negotiating heads of terms and long-term leasing agreements

  • Managing and expanding a database of local authority and provider contacts

  • Coordinating viewings and progressing offers to completion

  • Collaborating internally regarding property readiness, compliance and required works

  • Ensuring full compliance with current lettings and social housing regulations

  • Maintaining accurate reporting and pipeline tracking via CRM systems

  • Contributing to the wider growth strategy for the social housing portfolio

  • Delivering a high standard of professional stakeholder engagement

Candidate Profile

My client is looking for a commercially minded lettings professional with extensive experience in the Greater London social housing market.

The successful individual will bring an established network of local authority contacts, strong legislative knowledge and a demonstrable track record of securing long-term leasing agreements. They will be target-driven, organised and confident managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a collaborative team are essential.

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a comparable social housing lettings role

  • Strong working knowledge of UK lettings legislation and regulatory requirements

  • In-depth understanding of social housing compliance frameworks and HMO standards

  • Experience negotiating and securing bulk block or 10+ year leasing arrangements

  • Established professional relationships within Greater London local authorities (essential)

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal

  • High attention to detail and methodical working style

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines effectively

  • Commercially driven with a results-oriented mindset

  • Strong IT proficiency and CRM experience

  • Flexible and adaptable approach

Benefits

  • Performance-related commission structure

  • 25 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays

  • Discretionary bonus scheme

  • Company pension (salary sacrifice scheme)
