The Opportunity

Our client is a world-renowned hotel developer with an exceptional portfolio spanning Europe and the Americas. With a pipeline of landmark properties that set the standard for luxury hospitality, this is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role and leave your mark on some of the most celebrated hotel interiors in the world.

We are seeking a visionary Head of Interior Design to lead the creative direction of their hotel interiors programme. Based in their London studio, you will oversee a talented in-house design team whilst working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, and international project partners to deliver interior schemes of the very highest calibre.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group Director of Development, you will take ownership of the end-to-end interior design process across multiple concurrent projects at varying stages of development. You will be the creative authority on all front-of-house environments - from grand lobbies and signature dining spaces to bars, lounges, and guest suites - ensuring every touchpoint reflects the brand's commitment to extraordinary guest experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary interior design team, fostering a high-performance creative culture
• Setting the creative vision and design direction for all front-of-house and public-area schemes across active development projects in Europe and the Americas
• Overseeing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement and specification, ensuring quality, budgetary, and programme compliance
• Collaborating with external architects, project managers, contractors, and brand consultants throughout the design and delivery lifecycle
• Presenting concept and developed design proposals to senior leadership and ownership groups
• Championing guest experience at every stage of the design process, from initial concept through to opening and post-occupancy review
• Maintaining awareness of emerging trends in luxury hospitality design, materials, and technology
• Managing design budgets and timelines across a complex, multi-project portfolio

The Candidate

You will be an accomplished, design-led professional with a strong track record in luxury hospitality interiors and a genuine passion for front-of-house environments. You will combine outstanding creative ability with the commercial and organisational acumen required to lead a team and deliver complex, high-profile projects on time and on budget.

We are looking for:

• Substantial experience in interior design with a significant focus on five-star or ultra-luxury hotel environments
• Demonstrable expertise in front-of-house design - including lobbies, bars, restaurants, lounges, and public areas - within prime, internationally recognised hotel properties
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop a creative team
• Experience working across international projects, ideally spanning European and American markets
• Fluency across the full design process, from concept and schematic design through to FF&E specification, procurement support, and site delivery
• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to communicate design vision persuasively to senior stakeholders and ownership groups
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets, programmes, and external consultants effectively
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline

Package & Location

• Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience
• Based: Central London studio, with international travel as required
