We're working with Collegiate, one of the UK's leading PBSA providers, to appoint a General Manager to oversee 3 fantastic student accommodation sites in Portsmouth (circa 200 beds).

You'll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of these sites - leading your team, keeping operations running smoothly, and creating an environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive. This is a role for someone who brings energy, presence, and a genuine passion for people.

You'll be the driving force behind all three sites - setting the tone, building a strong team culture, and ensuring every detail of the resident experience is delivered to a high standard. While you'll be responsible for performance and occupancy, your focus will be on running well-organised, welcoming, and high-performing sites.

The Role

• Lead and support your on-site teams across the three sites, creating a positive, accountable, and engaged working environment.
• Take full ownership of day-to-day operations across all sites, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Oversee facilities, compliance, health & safety, and supplier relationships, maintaining high standards across all buildings.
• Be a visible and approachable leader, supporting both your team and residents in a fast-paced environment.
• Create a strong sense of community, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and at home.
• Work closely with internal teams and local partners to ensure all sites perform well and remain well-connected.
• Contribute to occupancy and performance goals through strong operational delivery and resident satisfaction.

About You

• Proven experience in running operations and leading teams, ideally within PBSA, residential property, hospitality, or another service-led environment.
• A people-first leader who brings energy, positivity, and a hands-on approach to management.
• Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure.
• Someone who takes pride in standards, team culture, and the overall environment they create.
• Commercially aware, with an understanding of how strong operations support overall site performance.
