Asset & Property Manager
London | Full-Time |
We are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established property investment and asset management business to recruit a commercially minded Property and Asset Manager. Our client manages a diverse mixed-use portfolio with a primary focus on industrial assets, alongside retail and a small number of residential properties.
This is a genuinely hands-on and varied role, offering real ownership across asset-level initiatives. You will work closely with a collaborative senior team, playing an active part in driving value across the estate.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Development and Senior Asset Manager / Head of Asset Management and Acquisitions, you will take a proactive role in the strategic management of the portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximise income, reduce voids, and enhance long-term capital value
- Manage lease events including rent reviews, lease renewals, re-gears, and new lettings, working alongside agents and solicitors as required
- Carry out site inspections across the portfolio and prepare clear reports on property condition and required actions
- Oversee capital expenditure projects including refurbishments, reconfigurations, and building improvements
- Support in resolving facilities management issues, including maintenance, repairs, and compliance matters
- Liaise with tenants to address day-to-day enquiries and ensure strong, proactive communication
- Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure works are completed to required standards and within agreed timelines
- Maintain accurate property management records, including lease information and maintenance schedules
- Provide general estate management support across all property types within the portfolio
The Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware property professional who is ready to take on a role with genuine breadth and impact. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Real Estate, Surveying, or a property-related discipline (MRICS is desirable but not essential)
- At least 2-3 years' experience in asset management, commercial property management, or a similar role
- A solid understanding of lease structures, landlord & tenant law, and asset enhancement techniques
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging tenants, contractors, and professional advisors
- A self-motivated, proactive mindset with the ability to manage projects independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with property management software is advantageous
