Tenancy Specialist
North London | Office-Based | £29,000-£32,000
The Opportunity
An independent, forward-thinking property business is looking for a Tenancy Specialist to join their team. With a relaxed, non-corporate feel but a highly professional and technology-driven approach, the business delivers a high standard of service without being overly target-driven.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume role at the centre of the lettings team, offering real responsibility and the opportunity to grow.
The Role
You'll manage the tenancy journey from offer agreed through to move-in, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and well-organised process for both residents and owners.
Initially focused on new deals, the role will expand into renewals and wider tenancy coordination over time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Progressing new tenancies from offer through to move-in
- Coordinating and chasing referencing (credit, employment, landlord checks)
- Preparing tenancy agreements and supporting documentation
- Ensuring all compliance requirements are met (Right to Rent, deposits, certificates)
- Registering deposits and issuing prescribed information
- Managing communication with residents and owners throughout
- Coordinating inventories, check-ins, and handovers to property management
- Maintaining accurate records using systems such as Reapit and Goodlord
What to expect:
- A high-volume environment
- A role that requires strong organisation and attention to detail
- Close collaboration with a supportive and experienced team
About You
This role suits someone who is organised, proactive, and thrives in a busy environment.
You will likely be:
- Highly detail-oriented with strong administrative skills
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks
- A confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Professional, but also personable and team-focused
- Positive, energetic, and keen to get involved
Experience:
- Property or lettings experience is preferred, but not essential
- Familiarity with Reapit and/or Goodlord is a bonus
- Transferable experience in a fast-paced, process-driven role will be considered
The Environment
- Independent business
- Collaborative, social team with a non-corporate culture
- Not target-heavy, but high standards and high volume
- Regular socials (quarterly events, quizzes, drinks)
- Ongoing training
This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well-run agency where you'll be supported, trusted, and given room to grow within a genuinely positive team environment.
