The Business
Our client is one of Essex's most established and respected property groups, with over five decades of presence across the county. Operating a wide-ranging network of offices, they offer services spanning residential sales, lettings, surveying, financial services, commercial property, holiday lets, and a rapidly growing Land & New Homes division.
Their Land & New Homes team has seen significant growth in recent years, capturing a strong share of the new homes market across Essex - and they're not slowing down.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position sitting at the heart of the land acquisition process. Reporting directly to the Land Director, you'll be involved at every stage - from identifying raw land opportunities through to the construction and eventual sale of new homes.
It's a role with real scope to grow as the department expands, making it an excellent platform for someone looking to build a long-term career in land.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting land reviews to identify viable opportunities, including research into demographics, infrastructure, and planning potential
- Monitoring planning registers using LandInsight software
- Using mapping tools to identify and assess potential new sites
- Arranging and attending site viewings and inspections, including photography
- Meeting with landowners alongside the Land Director
- Attending developer networking events and building relationships with prospective clients
- Maintaining and updating the internal database with sites of interest
What They're Looking For
Essential:
- A solid understanding of the property market
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competency across Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Well-organised with strong time management
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Prior experience in a land-focused role is a bonus, but not a barrier - the right attitude and property background will be considered

- Basic salary: £30,000
- OTE: £37,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)

Hours
Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-6:00pm | Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm Some flexibility may be required in line with business needs.
