This is a strong move for someone in finance operations, accounts payable or service charge accounting who wants more ownership and a clear step into team leadership.
The role sits in a real estate finance operations team and is focused on keeping the day to day finance engine running properly. You would be the person dealing with the detail, solving issues, supporting junior team members and making sure the Finance Operations Manager has confidence that the core processes are under control.
This is not a pure AP role. It sits across accounts payable, service charge transactions, reconciliations, journals, HMRC submissions, controls and operational finance queries.
The role covers:
- Supervising the day to day finance operations team
* Accounts payable, payments, invoicing and reconciliations
* Service charge transactions and annual reconciliation support
* Reviewing journals, staff expenses and intercompany adjustments
* CIS returns, PSA settlements and HMRC related queries
* Acting as the first escalation point for finance operations issues
* Working with procurement, property management and commercial teams
* Improving processes, controls and reporting across finance operations
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
You will suit this if you have strong finance operations experience, ideally with exposure to AP, service charge or property finance.
The key requirement is someone who can manage the detail, support a team and keep processes moving without needing everything escalated upwards.
