This is a good move for someone with credit control or property finance experience who wants to move into a more operational real estate role.
The business is a growing single family BTR platform, delivering new build rental homes across the UK. It is backed by major institutional capital and sits in one of the fastest growing parts of the residential market.
This is not a generic debt chasing role. You would be working close to the property management team, looking after rent arrears, aged debt, resident charges, utility costs and supplier accounts across a live residential portfolio.
The role covers:
- Managing rent arrears, resident balances and aged debt
* Liaising with residents, property managers and external debt recovery partners
* Reviewing utility costs, void periods and meter readings
* Checking estate charges against budgets
* Reviewing supplier invoices, purchase orders and quoted works
* Supporting the Property Accountant with reporting and day to day finance tasks
* Helping keep resident level finance accurate across the portfolio
You will suit this if you have at least 2 years of accounting or credit control experience and want to build proper exposure to operational residential real estate.
Property experience would help, but the main requirement is someone organised, accurate and confident dealing with both residents and internal teams.
Why it is worth considering:
- Growing single family BTR platform
* Backed by major institutional real estate capital
* Exposure to rent roll, arrears, voids, utilities and resident finance
* Close link between finance and property operations
* Good route into broader property accounting over time
* Strong benefits and training support
* Reading based role with 1 day a week from home
The trade off is that this is a hands on role. You will be close to the detail, chasing arrears, checking balances and resolving issues. The upside is that you will learn how finance actually works inside an operational residential platform, rather than sitting in a generic ledger role.
