We are exclusively partnering with a highly reputable and well-established organisation that is making a significant investment in the shared ownership sector. Backed by substantial resources and long-term growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Head of Home Ownership to lead and develop their shared ownership function.
This is a rare opportunity to join a respected organisation at an exciting stage of growth, taking ownership of all aspects of post-sale shared ownership management while building the foundations for a scalable, high-performing service. Initially an individual contributor role, there is a clear opportunity to build and lead a team as the portfolio expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all home ownership operations, including shared ownership management, staircasing, resales, service charges and lease compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and lease obligations, including Section 20 consultations.
- Develop policies, processes and governance frameworks to support a growing portfolio.
- Lead rent and service charge setting, budget management and financial performance reporting.
- Deliver excellent customer service for leaseholders and shared owners, driving engagement and service improvement.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, Boards and Committees.
- Monitor KPIs, manage risks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on shared ownership, supporting colleagues across the wider business.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in shared ownership or home ownership management.
- Background within a Housing Association, Registered Provider or For-Profit Registered Provider.
- Strong knowledge of shared ownership legislation, leasehold management, staircasing, Section 20 requirements and service charge regulations.
- Experience of governance, regulatory compliance and audit processes.
- Strong financial management skills, including rent and service charge setting, income recovery and budget oversight.
- Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and managing complex customer cases.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to build new processes, shape strategy and establish best practice within a growing function.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification such as CIH, IRPM or equivalent.
- Evidence of continued professional development.

Location
This role is based in Manchester and regular office attendance is required. Candidates should be based within commuting distance or willing to relocate.
