Senior Communities Manager
Fixed-Term Contract until September 2027 (35 hours per week)
Salary: £60,991 - £67,378 per annum (London weighting)
Location: Ealing or Stratford, with travel to sites across London and the North West. Hybrid working available (1 day per week from home).
The Opportunity
We're working with one of the UK's largest and most respected housing providers, delivering ambitious regeneration and redevelopment programmes that are transforming communities and creating thousands of new homes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the organisation at a pivotal stage in one of London's largest long-term regeneration schemes. You'll play a key role in ensuring residents remain at the heart of redevelopment, leading community strategies that support rehousing, consultation, remediation and resident engagement throughout the lifecycle of major projects.
This is a fixed-term contract through to September 2027, offering the chance to make a genuine impact on projects that will shape neighbourhoods for decades to come.
The Role
As Senior Communities Manager, you'll provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of regeneration and remediation programmes, supporting Communities Managers who are delivering projects on the ground.
You'll be responsible for ensuring residents, leaseholders and stakeholders are engaged throughout redevelopment programmes, from consultation and statutory ballots through to rehousing and building safety initiatives.
Working closely with development, regeneration, construction and housing teams, you'll ensure community considerations remain central to every stage of delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the community strategy across large-scale regeneration and redevelopment programmes.
- Supporting resident consultation, engagement and statutory processes, including regeneration ballots.
- Overseeing resident rehousing and decant programmes, ensuring legal and policy requirements are met.
- Managing resident-facing documentation, consultation materials and communication strategies.
- Supporting remediation projects linked to building safety, ensuring residents are kept informed throughout.
- Line managing two Communities Managers while providing guidance and support to a wider team.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful regeneration outcomes.
- Identifying risks, resolving complex issues and ensuring projects are delivered in line with organisational objectives.
About You
This role is suited to someone with strong technical knowledge of regeneration rather than purely customer service or engagement experience.
You'll ideally have experience of:
- Housing regeneration, redevelopment or estate renewal programmes.
- Working with tenants and leaseholders throughout complex redevelopment projects.
- Resident consultation, statutory engagement and producing consultation documents.
- Rehousing, decant or relocation programmes.
- Building safety or remediation projects.
- Managing resident-facing strategies and communications.
- Working alongside development, regeneration or construction teams.
Previous line management experience would be beneficial but is not essential. We're equally open to experienced Communities Managers looking to step into a more senior position, provided you have the technical knowledge and experience required.
