Housekeeper (Full-Time) - Student Accommodation, Portsmouth

On behalf of our client, a student accommodation provider in Portsmouth, we are looking to recruit a full-time Housekeeper to replace their previous team member in this role.

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP - our client is ideally looking for a Monday start

About the Role

Our client's student accommodation site in Portsmouth is let out as short-term rental accommodation via Booking.com and Airbnb during the summer months, outside of the academic term, with most guests staying between one and four nights. As a result, this role is focused on high-volume room turnover and efficient "sparkle cleans" rather than deep cleaning, which is handled separately by a professional deep-cleaning service.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing sparkle cleans (quick turnover cleans) in Studio rooms and communal areas between short-term summer bookings
• Stripping and replacing bed linen, and carrying out bed rolls between guest stays
• Completing multiple room turnovers per day to a consistent standard
• Working efficiently to keep pace with high-frequency bookings and tight turnaround windows

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Previous housekeeping experience, ideally gained within a hotel, student accommodation, or short-term rental setting
• Confidence and efficiency with bed rolls and sparkle/turnover cleans (deep cleaning experience is not required)
• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload across multiple studios/rooms in a day
• Reliability and availability to start at short notice - a Monday start is preferred
