About the opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a well-established residential lettings and property management business, responsible for managing several hundred apartments across a significant London residential development. The business handles the full lifecycle of tenancies, from initial marketing through to end of tenancy, and works closely with both landlords and tenants to deliver a high standard of service.
As Junior Property Manager, you will take responsibility for your own portfolio from the outset, with the benefit of a reduced caseload while you build practical experience and confidence. You will report to the Property Management Team Leader and receive structured support as you develop the skills required to progress into a full Property Manager role.
What makes the role exceptional
Rather than starting with a full portfolio, you'll build your caseload gradually, giving you room to learn processes properly and ask questions along the way. The business has a clear focus on internal development, with training and mentoring built into the role, and colleagues who are genuinely invested in your progression. You'll also be part of a business with strong market share in its area, offering exposure to a broad range of property management scenarios.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of properties to a high standard, responding to tenant and landlord enquiries and resolving issues efficiently
- Coordinate works with approved contractors, ensuring quality, professionalism and appropriate pricing

- Negotiate tenancy renewals and rent reviews using up-to-date market knowledge
- Process end of tenancy notices and manage the deposit return process, negotiating agreements where possible
- Maintain accurate records and notes across all relevant systems
- Report on KPIs and activity to support progress against targets
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing role; previous property experience is not essential
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career in property management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm, resilient and pragmatic approach to challenging situations
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and act on feedback
- Local area knowledge and an appreciation of design-led property would be beneficial but are not essential
Rewards and benefits
