Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor

A growing main contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious AQS who has gained a few years' experience and is now looking for the next step in their career. The business has a strong pipeline of live projects and is looking for someone who wants to develop, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career within the commercial function.
The business currently has a number of live schemes across London, this role is to join a brand new residential project in London Bridge valued at £22m.
You'll gain exposure to a broad range of commercial activities, including:

• Valuations and applications for payment
• Procurement and subcontract management
• Cost control and reporting
• Package management
• Working closely with project and commercial teams

What We're Looking For

• A few years' experience within a construction commercial environment
• Ideally, experience with a main contractor
• Exposure to live projects, valuations and procurement
• A commercially switched-on approach
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• A genuine desire to learn and progress
