Structural & Civils Design Manager

I'm recruiting for a Design Manager to join the technical team of a major residential developer, working on a significant multi-phase London development as it moves into Stage 3 design.

The development will ultimately deliver 1,500+ homes, alongside a large new park, community spaces and extensive infrastructure and external works.

The role will have a broad design remit across structures and civils, coordinating consultants and making sure the building and infrastructure design is properly integrated as the scheme develops.

You could come from either a structural or civils/infrastructure background. The key is having strong design management experience and being comfortable coordinating complex interfaces across a large-scale residential development.

The role will include:

• Managing structural and/or civils design consultants
• Coordinating design information through Stage 3 and beyond
• Working across RC frame, foundations, infrastructure, drainage, roads and external works, depending on your background
• Managing interfaces between the buildings and wider site infrastructure
• Supporting Gateway applications and technical approvals
• Working closely with the architectural, MEP and wider technical teams
• Identifying design issues and driving them through to resolution
• Ensuring design information is coordinated and delivered in line with the programme

I'm open to candidates from a developer, main contractor or consultancy background, with experience across large-scale residential or mixed-use projects.

Salary: £55,000 - £80,000
