Start: ASAP
Pay: £34,000 equivalent as hourly rate, paid weejkly, plus holiday pay
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Resident Services Manager to join a well-established Build to Rent development in Leeds on a temporary basis.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who is confident taking ownership of a busy residential environment, managing competing priorities and delivering a consistently high standard of service to residents.
You will need to be someone who can work independently, follow established processes, communicate confidently and professionally, and take responsibility for seeing issues through to resolution.
Build to Rent experience would be advantageous, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with strong backgrounds in residential property, hospitality, hotels, concierge, front of house or customer service.
The Role
Working as part of the on-site Resident Services team, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent resident experience across a modern, co-living development.
You will be responsible for:
Acting as a key point of contact for residents and providing a professional, responsive service.
Building positive relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Handling resident enquiries, complaints and day-to-day issues confidently and efficiently.
Taking ownership of issues from initial enquiry through to resolution, keeping residents updated along the way.
Following established processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the development.
Managing competing priorities and ensuring important tasks are followed up and completed.
Maintaining accurate records and keeping systems and documentation up to date.
Supporting property administration and day-to-day resident services.
Working closely with contractors, suppliers and the wider on-site team.
Communicating effectively with colleagues and escalating issues appropriately when required.
Supporting the smooth running of the development during a particularly busy period.
Identifying issues proactively and taking action rather than waiting to be directed.
About you
We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and naturally takes ownership.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and will not need constant direction. You will be confident learning new systems and processes, retaining information and applying them consistently in your day-to-day work.
You will be someone who:
Has strong customer service and communication skills.
Is confident dealing with residents, contractors and colleagues at all levels.
Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
Can work independently and use their own initiative.
Is comfortable working within established processes and procedures.
Is able to learn new systems quickly and retain information.
Keeps accurate records and understands the importance of good administration.
Remains calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
Is proactive and solutions-focused.
Has a strong attention to detail.
Understands the importance of professional communication and appropriate escalation.
Is genuinely committed to delivering a high-quality resident experience.
Experience
BTR experience is advantageous but not essential.
We would consider candidates from backgrounds including:
Build to Rent / Residential Property
Property / Estate Agency
Property Management
Hospitality / Hotels
Concierge / Front of House
Customer Service
Community Management
Facilities or customer-facing operational roles
Experience with Yardi, property management systems, inventories, inspections, contractor management or residential administration would be highly beneficial.
More important than having direct BTR experience is having the right approach to the role: organised, accountable, customer-focused and capable of operating independently in a busy environment.
Working Pattern
The role will initially be Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.
After the first couple of weeks, there may be some Saturday rota cover, with a weekday off in return.
Staff parking is available on site.
Why This Role?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to make a genuine impact within a high-quality Build to Rent development.
You will join an established on-site team and have the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining a positive resident experience across a busy 335-unit development.
If you are organised, proactive, customer-focused and comfortable taking ownership, we would like to hear from you.
