Senior Project Manager | Residential & Hospitality | £50,000 - £70,000
We're working with a growing project management consultancy that wants to add a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to its team. If you're an ambitious project professional with a strong record on residential or hospitality schemes and you want a clear route to Associate, this one is worth a conversation.
The role
You'll run projects end to end, from feasibility through to completion, and be the client's trusted advisor throughout. You'll own the programme, cost, risk, procurement and governance, and make sure every project is delivered safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of several projects at once and giving clients clear, practical advice
- Spotting risks early and putting the right mitigation's in place
- Producing strong reports, programmes and project documentation
- Administering contracts under JCT and NEC, and making sure projects meet legislation, regulations and best practice
- Being the main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors, and building relationships that bring repeat work and referrals
- Mentoring Assistant PMs and PMs, and helping build a collaborative, high-performing culture
- Supporting business development by deepening existing client relationships and contributing to bids and proposals
What you'll bring
- Substantial project management experience gained in a construction consultancy or client-side environment
- Proven delivery of residential and/or hospitality projects
- Strong client and stakeholder management, plus sound commercial judgement
- Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Solid programme management and reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confidence mentoring junior colleagues
Nice to have: chartered status (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or similar) or working towards it, hands-on experience of NEC and JCT, and a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
What success looks like
Delivering confidently with minimal supervision, owning outcomes rather than just managing tasks, building lasting client relationships, and producing work that reflects well on the business.
Progression
There's a defined route to Associate, and it's based on capability rather than time served. As you progress, you'll take on larger and more complex commissions, win new business and play a bigger part in leading the consultancy.
What's on offer
- £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
- Funding towards professional qualifications and ongoing training
- Merit-based career progression
- Interesting residential and hospitality projects
- A team that values quality and professionalism without expecting excessive hours
