Salary: Up to £40,000 basic, £80,000 OTE (uncapped commission)

About the opportunity

deverellsmith is acting as strategic recruitment partner to a substantial, multi-phase regeneration scheme, seeking experienced sales negotiators for its on-site team. This is a long-term project, with further phases already planned beyond the one currently on sale.

The scheme offers a mix of apartments, townhouses and premium homes, with an expanding commercial and lifestyle offer taking shape around it. The next phase, launching next year, introduces private, shared ownership and rental homes, with completions expected in 2028/2029.

This is not a short-term sales instruction. With years of phased delivery ahead, successful candidates can build a long-term career on one site, developing deep product knowledge and genuine relationships with an engaged, largely local buyer base, supported by an on-site customer service manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enquiries by phone, email and in person, converting interest into appointments and viewings
• Deliver engaging, informative presentations of the development and its surroundings
• Understand each buyer's motivations and tailor the pitch accordingly
• Handle objections confidently, selling long-term value rather than price alone
• Guide buyers through reservation, exchange and completion, maintaining momentum
• Build lasting relationships with the local community and referral buyers
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, viewings and sales progress
• Work closely with the on-site customer service and development teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in new homes or property sales, ideally fast-paced
• A polished, professional manner, comfortable representing a premium brand
• Strong telephone skills and persistence in converting enquiries
• The ability to read a buyer quickly and adapt your approach
• Genuine charisma, energy and a personable, engaging presence
• Resilience and a positive, solutions-focused approach to objections
