Experienced Lettings Administrator
Build to Rent / PRS - Ilford
Salary: £32,000 + benefits
Must've have worked BTR/PBSA/Lettings
Deverellsmith is working with an established, international residential rental operator to recruit a Lettings Administrator for its London portfolio. The business owns and manages high-quality private rented buildings across central London and is known for a strong, service-led culture built on integrity, commitment and energy.
This is a floating role covering the operator's London PRS buildings, reporting to the Operations Manager. You'll support the on-site teams with lettings and resident services, step in to maintain the same level of service as the Property Manager in their absence, and play a key part in driving direct lets and occupancy.
The role
On the lettings side, you'll conduct viewings, respond quickly to email and phone enquiries, and guide prospective residents through the rental journey to convert enquiries into viewings and lettings. You'll keep listings up to date on portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla, process applications including referencing and credit checks, and support move-ins and move-outs, check-in and check-out reports, and deposit protection set-up and releases. You'll also assist with rent collection, market surveys and competitor analysis, open house events, and recording transactions and running reports on Yardi.
Customer service sits at the heart of the role. You'll make sure resident issues and service requests are addressed within 24 hours, help build a neighbourly community atmosphere, support recognition programmes for long-term residents, and look for ways to go beyond what residents expect.
You'll also help protect the asset by supporting fire safety and health and safety compliance, scheduled flat inspections, planned and reactive maintenance, and the general upkeep and presentation of each building.
Your performance will be measured on direct let retention, monthly occupancy, viewing mystery shops, arrears and bad debt, and resident satisfaction.
What they're looking for
You'll have at least two years' experience in property lettings or a related environment such as student accommodation, commercial buildings or hotels. You'll bring strong sales skills and confidence promoting a product, excellent customer service and communication, and solid administration and organisation. You'll be comfortable with Microsoft Office and property management systems, able to work independently as well as part of a team, and flexible enough to move between buildings across Zones 1-2 and work weekends and public holidays when required.
Experience in the private residential or Build to Rent sector, ARLA membership, and knowledge of Yardi or a similar system would all be a bonus.
Why apply?
This is a great opportunity to gain broad exposure across a quality London PRS portfolio with a well-established operator, and an ideal step for someone looking to grow towards a Property Manager role.
