A vertically integrated investment manager, developer and operator, this London-based firm is one of the UK's leading players in the living real estate sector. With a portfolio spanning multi-family and single-family build-to-rent housing, the business operates at the intersection of institutional capital and operational excellence, managing assets across the full lifecycle from acquisition through to resident experience.
The Challenge
Following six years of valued tenure, the firm's Asset Manager departed for personal reasons, creating a business-critical vacancy within a lean, high-performing team. The business had already conducted its own search, interviewing ten candidates and reaching final stage, only to conclude that the shortlist did not meet the standard required. With time now a factor, they needed specialist recruiters to intervene quickly and bring rigour to the process.
The lean team structure meant the successful candidate would need to be genuinely multifaceted, technically capable, commercially astute, and the right cultural fit. BTR experience was non-negotiable.
