Who is the company?

urbanbubble is an award-winning build to rent management agent, who provides services to build to rent schemes across the UK. The business was founded 10 years ago and manages a combined total of 10,000 residential units throughout the UK on behalf of property developers and institutional investors.

What was the situation?

urbanbubble was successfully appointed to manage Legal & General’s £2 billion build to rent portfolio. The growing pipeline consists of 6,000 units across 17 schemes nationwide, in locations including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Bath and Chelmsford, etc. The company projects its headcount will increase by 250-400 staff in order to service this portfolio.

What was the methodology?

Nick acted on behalf of deverellsmith as they were appointed as sole supplier to urbanbubble and delivered a bespoke service to hire across multiple job disciplines nationally. Not just this, but also to manage volume hires in line with urbanbubble’s budget and timescales. An account management structure was implemented, and data & research specialists provided salary benchmarking and advice.

Nick worked with urbanbubble’s talent team to develop best practice across their talent acquisition process, including talent attraction, CV sifting, initial screening, assessment centres, offer management, reference checks and aftercare

What was the outcome?

Nick’s methodology has resulted in 100% fill rate of live vacancies with assistance of the data & research team. A mix of onsite, customer service and head office placements over the last 18 months were filled in agreed timescales.

Since the work was conducted, deverellsmith’s partnership with urbanbubble is confirmed to continue as the business supports Legal & General’s growing pipeline, as well as other institutional investors. deverellsmith will also continue to develop new and bespoke solutions for urbanbubble to mitigate potential future risks e.g. attrition, wage inflation.
